Wow! It's really getting there!

I know we have only had her for less than 5 months but it seems to be taking F O R E V E R to finish it up!  Today, though, really felt like we had truly accomplished quite a bit.  It's been very slow going since Cynthia broke her foot.  She's not supposed to be walking or standing for any length of time (ya, right!).  She's basically been watching me do stuff and handing me tools!  She has been sitting working on the siding.  Getting all the sticky stuff off.  (Eeeww!)  Ok, here are some pics...

We went with a semi gloss pure white for the ceiling.  We didn't want the whole thing yellow - it would be like camping in a lemon!

Cynthia is so cute!  Poor thing...I know she is so frustrated about her foot being broke.  Three weeks today.

Lots of yellow.  No cabinets yet.  Soon...look down!

Nemo always has to get into things!

Front cabinets - done!

Street side cabinets - done!

We got the wiring finished for the outlet.  We have decided not to put electric lights in the trailer.  We got these awesome lights from Harbor Freight!  Seriously, awesome!  Next post - I'll post them.

Yes, I mounted the miter box on the tail end - made it so much easier to make my cuts.  And, yes, we do have a serious drinking problem.  Coffee, peach tea, water & Coke!  lol

This is our only sunflower that bloomed this year.  I just wanted to share it with you all!

It's getting close.

Got a little done today.  Only had a one day weekend.  (I do have Thursday & Friday off!)

Cynthia has a doctor's appointment with a specialist this Thursday.  Hopefully they will actually do something - she has no feelings in her foot half the time and she can't wiggle her toes.  Living in a po-dunk town has it's disadvantages.  Health care (good) being a big one.  Her doctor passed her off to a PAC.  Oh yay.  He dropped the ball.  Cynthia has been walking on a broken foot for two weeks now.  I am so mad at the ineptitude of these doctors here.  AAAAhhhhhh!

Ok, I'm back.

This is what got done today.  I finshed the closet for the most part.  Still have to finish the door, add 2 shelves and some shelf paper!

Arg!  The front curve over the window!  What a pain in the ass!  But, it is finished.  Thank goodness it will be COMPLETELY hidden by the upper shelves!

Slowly but surely

So, it's been almost two weeks since Cynthia broke her foot.  :(  This is what it's looking like right now.  She can't move her big toe and her foot is still numb - so it's off to a specialist next Thursday.  Poor baby can't put any weight on the foot - so she's been confined to the couch with her foot on a stack of pillows!

This is what has been done since the last time I wrote:  All the walls & ceiling are up with a couple panels painted.  This weekend we (me & friends) will finish the closet and the bowed area in the front.

Just real quick

Just a note to let you all know that we ARE working on Avalon - but had a snafu this afternoon.  So, I am upstairs just to upload some pictures of where we are at.

So the snafu...  See all the areas that are green?  They really ARE green!  Cynthia misstepped coming out of the trailer and down she went.  Not only did she do this, she hit a cement block with her right thigh.  Tore it open a bit and really really bruised it.  Not sure if the foot is broke or not.  Gonna head to the doctor's in the morning most likely.  Will keep everyone up to date on the foot.  I promise!

We started building a closet this weekend.  Last weekend got all the siding off and tore down the rest of the interior walls.  We got a few walls back up and a friend, E., came over and helped us paint too!

Here are the pics - more to come.
