The process of tearing her down...

So, there was soooo much water damage that she had to be torn apart.  Two parts out of the floor and most of the back end.  At this point, we are just taking her down to bones and starting over.  Gonna reface EVERYTHING according to D.

Our friends, T & D, are helping us with the remodel.  D does most of the hard manly stuff - and we do the not so manly stuff!  T is in charge of the 1st aid kit and helping with painting and decorating.

We have decided that we are not putting the upper bunk back in.  Honestly, it's just the two of us now.  Of course T & D are gonna take it out to play too but they just have little E.  Plenty of room for 2 1/2 peoples!  We might take our grandbabies with us one day - but they are itty bitty and don't take up much room!  I'm sure for now, Abby (our beagle) and Daisy (our boxer) will love sleeping on the dinette bed!

So, sitting here at the computer talking with Cynthia (Oh, yeah, I'm Teri) she says we aren't taking the rest of the panels down per D.  WHAT???  Okay, we're a bit off - she was talking OUTSIDE paneling - I was talking inside!  lol

Here are some pictures of what we have done so far:

Most of the insulation is still usuable!

Bed gone!

Appliances gone!

Our new trailer!

So, we had these neighbors that moved a couple blocks away. They moved into a 12' trailer behind their sister's house. They lived in the trailer for little over a year. We saw them a couple of months ago and they said they wanted to get rid of the trailer because they were getting an apartment. They sold the trailer to us for $100.00. It had some water damage in the back but other than that its in great shape...yeah right!

Here is what we really bought..a 1966 12' Kodiak coach manufactured by Aerolite. MAJOR water damage to the entire back end. Ants living in the wood frame. Busted water pipes. Missing /broken windows. No steps. Too many things jimmy rigged to mention.

So, now begins the fun...
